Asylum seekers and refugees are more likely to experience issues with their mental health. The MRSN Health and Well-being project is set up to provide support to this marginalised and vulnerable group. It offers a range of services and support aimed at empowering them to lead healthy and fulfilling lives. The weekly sessions cover, physical exercise, football, workshops on healthy living, employment information and other important issues.
A special weekly session is conducted for women. They get the opportunity meet other women and chat over a cup of tea, providing much needed emotional support. With a view to ensure their physical well-being, Zumba class are also conducted.
