Refugee week runs every year in June, and this year the theme was Compassion.
This year our amazing colleague Jennifer assisted in organising an event to celebrate Refugee Week for all the people we support within the hotels.
Refugee Week was a roaring success for our residents at the Contingency Hotels. Both adults and children enjoyed themselves with fun games and interactive activities including a day at Platt Fields Allotment which included a glorious hot meal with ingredients from the Allotment. There was time to explore the grounds and relax with a great team of volunteers and end the day with some good conversational ESOL activity. The fun day was the icing on the cake for the children who are not normally in school and the loved the cakes we served them too. Excellent week.
