GREAT (Greater Manchester Refugees and Asylum Seekers Together) is our expert by experience forum.
The Greater Manchester Refugee Step Change Consortium is a pioneering initiative by a group of charities and Experts by Experience (EBE) to transform into a joined-up and collaborative ecosystem of support for refugees and people seeking asylum in Greater Manchester.
A small group of volunteers who have a lived refugee/asylum seeking experience work together to provide feedback to improve all services operating in Greater Manchester.
The goals are:
- to ensure services are fit for purpose, in an ever-changing landscape, so they can best meet the needs of people seeking refuge and asylum.
- to raise voice and campaign against rules and policies that negatively impact refugees and people seeking asylum.
